maxime sauté & xavier blais, creative directors, rethink.

Maxime moved to Canada from Belgium 10 years ago to get the Jean-Claude Van Damme accent. Xavier and him met on the set of a creative reality show and they’ve been creating attention-worthy work ever since. The pair consistently ranks amongst Canada’s top creatives with numerous accolades from Cannes, The One Show, Clio and Communication Arts.

Their work for major brands and causes has been featured in The New York Times, Esquire, on CNN but they never managed to get a nod from The Economist. Their latest work to fight homophobia is featured in the permanent collection of Montreal’s Museum of Fine Arts and in schools to teach kids about the dangers of online bullying.

Brief : INTERFERE WITH THE 2020 US PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION

Use Facebook and its platforms to get more unregistered people to sign up and vote in the 2020 Presidential Election.

In 2016, only 58.1% of eligible Americans voted in the presidential elections. Despite being a relatively high participation rate (we’re far from the all-time-high 80% turnout rates of the 1800s) there’s a lot of room for improvement.

Minority and underprivileged groups don’t vote as much despite arguably needing their voices heard the most.

So while social media - Facebook in particular was vilified for its deceptive role in the 2016 elections, your brief is to get it celebrated for its true unifying power.

In essence: use Facebook and its parent platforms (Instagram, WhatsApp) to get more unregistered people to sign up and vote in the 2020 Presidential Election.

Find an organization(s) or person of your choice - for-profit or non-profit - to work with in order to spread this message.
