Round 4 of 8: January

Judge: Nedal Ahmed.

SENIOR COPYWRITER, WIEDEN+KENNEDY TOKYO

First off, hats off to everyone who found the time and the extra brain cells to do this brief with work/school and a whole pandemic hanging over them. There was a big range of ideas, and there’s also a big range of reasons for the winning ones. For launching a social network these days, reach and PR value is important. Original thinking and finding an angle no one else thought of is timeless. And not being afraid to submit an idea that’s a little stupid is a skill everyone should hang on to. Also anything that made me laugh or scrunch my forehead. I used to work on this competition with my team during lunch at my first job, so this was a special experience for me—thanks for that.
